Medical treatment

Our guests who come to Piestany to undergo a musculoskeletal treatment can purchase a package of medical procedures at discount rates, which they can apply during their visit to the local medical facilities. These sets of procedures are available to our guests upon request and are arranged and paid for in advance.

 

Swimming

Spa district features a number of swimming pools – both closed and outdoor – with thermal water that are open throughout the year.

            Additional outdoor swimming is available in the nearby Horna Streda and Slnava lakes with beaches and a number of recreational facilities for beach volley and water skiing.

 

Sport:

Tennis

Our B&B is located 600 m from the tennis arena which regularly houses a number of international tennis tournaments. Additional tennis courts are available throughout the town.

Squash

There’s a squash club nearby with 4 air-conditioned courts and squash equipment rental.

Water skis

Slnava lake features special premises for water skiing. You can also rent all the ski equipment for free (skis, lifeguard jacket). A children’s corner, beach volley and a buffet are also available for the visitors.

Golf

A modern golf field with 9 golf holes is available in the downtown.

Fishing

A neighboring village offers a special pond for carp- and trout-fishing along with fishing equipment rental. A local restaurant there also offers a wide variety of fish and seafood dishes. Kids can have fun in climbing rope bridges over the water.

Horse-riding

There’s a local farm, where one can ride horses. Horse-riding is particularly suited for children with locomotor illnesses.

Outdoor trips

There is a number of interesting locations near the town of Piestany, such as prehistoric sites, medieval castles and buildings and a balneologic museum.

Bike riding

There’s a bike track located not far from our B&B which follows alongside the banks of Vah river. Guided bike trips around Slnava lake are also available.

 Ice skating

During winter time there’s an ice rink put up in the downtown. During summer months you can ice skate in the local ice hockey arena.

Downhill skiing

A neighboring town of Bezovec provides a perfect location for alpine skiing with 5 ski lifts and a number of slopes averaging 300-500 m long. Another nearby location, Kalnice, also houses an alpine skiing resort.

 

Entertainment

            Piestany offers a wide variety of casinos, night clubs, restaurants, cafés and pizzerias. A modern bowling center is also located in the town.

 

Trips

            Individual and group trips can be arranged to Low Tatras, Bratislava, Bojnicky castle, spa town of Trencianske Teplice, Trencin castle, Trnava, different aqua parks. Trips to Vienna, Budapest (1-day) and Prague (2-day) can be organized as well.

 

Several affordable car rentals are available throughout the town.
